Fault Lines
This work is ongoing.
Fault Lines is an interdisciplinary storytelling project that merges documentary photography, political analysis, and public dialogue to explore the fragmentation of the global order.
In geology, a fault line is a fracture in the Earth where tectonic forces have shifted the ground — a site where immense pressure reshapes entire landscapes. Today, we are witnessing a comparable fracture and reshaping of the liberal international order: a structural redistribution of power unprecedented since the end of the Cold War. This transformation is driving intensifying strategic competition between the states, accelerating the erosion of international law and enabling emerging and middle powers to expand their influence and actively shape new, competing visions of world order.
By visually documenting the geographies and biographies where this fragmentation becomes tangible, this work asks not only what is breaking down—but whose order it was to begin with, and what might emerge in its place.
